A serene 6-mile trek perfect for casual hikers with plenty of shade along the way. Camping opportunities are available along the Chattooga River.
Directions to Location
- From the intersection of NC 107 and US 64 in Cashiers, drive 7 miles south on NC 107
- Turn right on Bull Pen Road, a gravel road opposite an unmarked storage building
- (If you pass the NC/SC state line, you have gone too far.)
- Continue on Bull Pen Road for 2.7 miles
- Park on the right in the gravel area just after Fowler Creek Bridge
- Walk back over and slightly past bridge; the trailhead is on the opposite side of the road from the parking area.
