Sylva Heritage Walk

Take a walk-through Sylva’s past and follow along with the historic images, which are mounted on storefronts along Main Street, to learn the story behind the town’s deep-rooted history and heritage.

Take a step back in time in this charming mountain town to learn about the rich heritage that helped to shape it into the destination it is today. Printed brochures for the Heritage Walk are available at the Jackson County Chamber & Visitor Center. Guided tours are offered through the Jackson County Historical Association, which is located in the Jackson County Courthouse/Library at the end of Main Street. An annual complimentary tour is hosted the fourth Saturday in April of each year during Sylva’s Greening Up the Mountains Festival.
