This rustic, charming Western North Carolina town is the perfect relaxing getaway.
Dillsboro eases the hustle of everyday life with its rustic pottery shops, art galleries and restaurants. With blocks of century-old storefronts, country inns and beautiful mountain views, just strolling along the riverwalk can be one of the best ways to pass the time.
Special annual events speak to the flavor of Dillsboro, including October’s ColorFest, where fine artists line Front Street to show their work. November’s WNC Pottery Festival showcases over 40 master potters who demonstrate a variety of different techniques. Dillsboro’s Festival of Lights and Luminaries transforms the entire town into a winter wonderland with more than 2,500 luminary lights. The two-weekend event also features horse-and-buggy rides, carolers and visits from Santa Claus.
