About Rushing Waters Cabin Dillsboro
Rushing Waters Cabin is a 2-story, 3 bedroom, 3 bathroom custom built home located 5 minutes from popular Dillsboro, North Carolina. The owner is a custom builder and designed and built the home for his personal residence. When he built another cabin on the property, he liked this one too much to sell so decided to keep it so others could enjoy it!
The cabin is perfectly positioned with the covered back porch overlooking Dick’s Creek which is a bold mountain creek that cascades down the mountain in a series of waterfalls and pools. It’s ideal for children to play in and move the rocks around building pools and waterfalls while the parents relax by the creek-side fire-pit.
The location of the owner’s 15 acres of prime mountain property is the perfect central location for visiting the unlimited number of tourist attractions in Western North Carolina. Western Carolina University is 20 minutes south in Cullowhee and continuing south is Cashiers, Highlands with all the famous waterfalls. Asheville is 50 minutes to the east or 20 minutes to Waynesville or scenic Maggie Valley. The Cherokee Indian Reservation is to the north as well as the Great Smoky Mountain National Park, Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge and all the outlet malls. To the west is Bryson City, Fontana Lake and the Nantahala Outdoor Center for white water rafting.
The main level of the cabin has an open great room, dining room and kitchen on one side and the master suite on the other side. The master bedroom has a king size bed and opens onto the back covered deck/porch overlooking the creek. The master bedroom adjoins a large master bathroom with separate his/hers vanities, a jetted spa tub and a separate shower/toilet room. The upstairs has two bedrooms on one side with a queen bed in one and a double bed in the other. The other side is a spacious open loft overlooking the great room with a daybed. Additionally, there is a full size bathroom centrally located between the bedrooms and open loft. The cabin can comfortably accommodate/sleep a maximum of 7 guest.
The owners live on the property and personally manage and maintain the cabin. They keep the cabin well stocked with many items other cabins expect you to supply or spend your valuable vacation time shopping for. There’s plenty of fresh linens and towels, soaps and shampoo, paper towels and trash bags, laundry and dishwashing detergent along with a unique collection of cooking utensils. All you need to bring is food and drinks then spend the rest of your time relaxing on the back porch overlooking the creek, or inside by the custom dry-stacked stone fireplace.
