The trail race weaves through the spruce forests along the spine of the Plott Balsam Mountains on challenging gravel and dirt roads. The final summit comprises of 650 feet gain in 1/3 mile on steep single track.
T-shirts are included with registration for the first 100 runners, and awards will be given for top 3 male and female finishers. For those looking for an additional challenge, runners who successfully complete the BlackRock 101 Challenge will receive a belt buckle.
The proceeds from this year’s race will go benefit the Humane Society of Jackson County.
