Sapphire Valley Resort

An adventure for every season awaits at Sapphire where guests can zip through the trees, ski or tube down the slopes, or try their hand (or in this case foot) at a game of the new sport, foot golf.

Nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains, Sapphire Valley offers the area's finest skiing and zipline facility. Unlike most crowded ski resorts, lift lines here are short giving guests more time to enjoy the slopes. Don't know how to ski or snowboard? No problem. The on-site learning center slope has certified instructors to teach beginners the fundamentals. Take off the skis and race down the multi-lane, 500-foot snow tubing run. When the snow melts, fly through the trees on a two-hour excursion with 16 platforms, two bridges, and 12 zip lines. Plan on spending 2.5 hours high in the trees! Footgolf, the newest activity available at Sapphire Valley, is the combination of the popular sports of golf and soccer. The game, which involves kicking a soccer ball into a large hole on a golf course, is a game played throughout the world, but is new here.

Unlike most ski areas where they’re jam packed with people, lift lines here are short so you spend less time in line and more time having fun.

Don’t know how to ski or snowboard? No problem. The Sapphire’s new learning center slop, with certified instructors, will teach beginners skiing or snowboarding fundamentals. A low student to teach ratio ensures every student will get personal attention in a structured environment.

After you’ve hit the slopes, the cozy base lodge has everything you need. Relax by the fireplace, dine at “The Four Seasons Grille”, or shop at the ski clothing retail shop.
